Overall Accountability

The Document Services Clerk - Mailroom supports the functions of the department including general document production assistance and the day-to-day operations of the mailroom.

Specific Accountabilities

• Collects, sorts and distributes interoffice/interschool mail; coordinates outbound postal and courier services

• Ships and receives boxes, parcels, printed materials, supplies, etc.

• Maintains an inventory of office supplies for Central Office; places special orders on request

• Responds to telephone and email inquiries

• Delivers and stocks copy paper; maintains statistical and other records

• Carries out document production requests from administrative departments and schools including photocopying, collating, folding, laminating, cutting, etc.

• Operates a variety of equipment including postage machine, photocopiers, folder, cutter, shrink-wrapper, mail inserter, laminator,

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum High School Diploma
  • Ability to operate photocopier, postage machine, shrink-wrapper, laminator, paper cutter, three hole punch and binding equipment preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Able to stand for long periods of time and perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
