Overall Accountability

 

The Graphic Designer creates, revises, and produces a variety of materials including but not limited to logos, stationery, brochures, posters, advertisements, reports, curriculum documents, web and social media graphics, signage, displays, presentations, etc.

 

Specific Accountabilities

  • Designs visuals and materials for both print and online use
  • Operates digital printing, finishing and binding equipment
  • Manages a variety of projects from concept to completion
  • Maintains project records, archive files and invoices completed work
  • Proofs, prepares preflights offset and digital print files
  • Ensures that Calgary Catholic’s identity standards are maintained when implementing artwork

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design (Visual Communications)
  • Three (3) years’ print graphic design experience encompassing both offset and digital printing processes
  • Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design, Acrobat) and Microsoft Office in a Windows environment
  • Ability to produce creative, original, effective designs with respect to typography and layout
  • Excellent  communications, organizational, interpersonal and prioritization  skills
  • Superior analytical and problem solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, tasks and deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Photography or illustration skills preferred
