Overall Accountability
The Applications Support Analyst is accountable for providing first level support for system applications to the users in departments and schools, including providing excellent customer service, managing user requests and resolution to the requests.
Specific Accountabilities
- Provides first level call management, resolution, and escalations.
- Performs in-depth analysis for complex problems relating to various applications.
- Provides information and advice to users on the functions and operation of the system; provides introductory training of the applications.
- Develops adhoc reports; assists in the documentation and maintenance of software functions, processes, and procedures.
- Assists with monitoring application data integrity by utilizing various tools for account management, data validation, and cleanup.
- Provides guidance to schools on managing digital student records, focusing on administrative procedures and formal records processes.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year of system application support experience in a call center environment preferred.
- One (1) year of experience and functional knowledge related to current Calgary Catholic applications preferred.
- Three (3) years of experience working with PowerSchool, CLASI and Brightspace preferred
- Experience with an information technology issue tracking system preferred.
- Experience working with teachers in an instructional environment and an excellent understanding of the school environment and school process cycles preferred
- Familiarity with PASI (Provincial Approach to Student Information)
- Strong proficiency in Adobe and Microsoft Excel
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and O365 productivity tools
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy boxes (up to 50 lbs.)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
